The Jefferson Stonewash for kids has all the appeal of the original Jefferson - easy to clean, water-friendly, and lightweight, but is made with our sugarcane-based EVA, Sugarlite™. Designed to tread lighter on the planet, it boasts one of the smallest carbon footprints out there while keeping things fun and comfy for kids of all ages.
Like any reigning ruler of the ring, the Jefferson encompasses all of the fine features that you'd expect from a Native shoe. It's shock absorbent, odour resistant, hand-washable, and comes in an infinite assortment of colors and treatments.
Native Shoes are REACH, CPSIA, and Prop 65 compliant. They are also BPA and phthalate free, and do not contain hazardous materials such as formaldehyde or formamide.

EVA shoes can be hand-washed using lukewarm water, gentle soap and a washcloth or soft brush. Using a towel, pat excess water off and leave them to dry completely in a cool and shaded area.
Native shoes are formed using heat and so can be deformed by it as well! For these reasons, never put your EVA shoes in the washing machine, dryer, or dishwasher.
Since they are heat sensitive, we also recommend keeping them out of direct sunlight when off the foot and never leaving them in the car on a hot day.

They are not designed for full submersion, but for everyday Singapore conditions, puddles, rain, water play, they are ideal. And when they get wet, they dry fast too.

Never put them in the washing machine, dryer, or dishwasher, and keep them out of direct sunlight and hot cars. EVA is heat-sensitive and can warp if exposed to high temperatures.

It depends on how hot it got and for how long. EVA is heat-sensitive and can warp or deform if left in a hot car, especially under Singapore's sun. If the shape has changed, unfortunately they cannot be restored.
Going forward, keep them in a bag or indoors when not being worn. A good habit is to bring them inside whenever you bring the kids inside!
Native shoes are casual slip-ons and are not designed with arch support, so they are not ideal for extended walking or high-activity days. For long hikes or very active outdoor days, we'd recommend a more supportive brand such as KEEN, Pediped or your typical international sports brand.
That said, many Singapore parents love Native shoes for school, and here's why. Kindergartens may require children to remove their shoes when entering classrooms or activity areas. Native's slip-on design means children under 6 years can take them off and put them back on completely independently, without needing mum, dad or a teacher to help.
For the typical Singapore school day, Native shoes are a genuinely practical choice that children can manage on their own from a young age.
Native shoes are not certified non-slip, so we would not recommend them for activities that specifically require slip-resistant footwear. That said, the EVA sole provides good everyday grip for running, playing, and general adventuring.
