- 5–8 years of fashion design experience, children's wear or family fashion preferred

What You'll Own
Drive the creative narrative behind every print collection — from initial mood and theme through to final artwork. Prints must feel cohesive as a story while still working across different garment types, age groups, and the full family twinning range. Your prints should stop people mid-scroll.
Own the seasonal concept development process end-to-end — researching trends, building the brand narrative, and translating big ideas into wearable, sellable collections that stay true to Elly's DNA. Expected to bring fresh references and surprising directions to every brief.
Design across adult and children's sizing to deliver coordinated family looks that feel intentional, not costume-y. Maintain visual harmony between all pieces in a twinning set while adapting silhouettes and proportions appropriately for each wearer.
Lead design on licensed collections for children and families, working within licensing guidelines while still injecting Elly's creative identity. Thorough understanding of IP requirements is essential — attention to detail here is non-negotiable.
Produce precise, complete CADs and tech packs for all designs — construction details, measurements, fabric callouts, colourways, and trims. Accuracy is critical: factories work from your specs, so errors cost time and money. Own this process with zero shortcuts.
Oversee prototypes from first sample through to final sign-off. Identify and resolve fit, construction, and quality issues at each stage. Push back on anything that doesn't meet the standard — and know exactly what the standard should be.
Briefs change, deadlines shift, and sometimes a whole direction needs to pivot fast. Expected to generate strong creative solutions quickly without sacrificing quality — and to bring the team along with you when direction changes mid-flight.
Work alongside marketing and retail teams to ensure design consistency across all channels. At the senior level, you'll also be expected to support and elevate junior designers — sharing knowledge, reviewing their work, and helping them grow.
