How to Use
The Elly Sleeping Bag is designed to be worn over pyjamas as a wearable blanket, replacing loose bedding in the crib for a safer, cosier night's sleep.
Dress baby in their favourite pyjamas first: sleepsuits for aircon rooms, short-sleeve for fan-only nurseries.
Slide baby into the sleeping bag feet-first and zip up from the bottom.
Fold the zipper guard over the top to protect baby's chin and neck from scratching.
For nappy changes at night, simply unzip from the bottom - no need to remove the bag. Back to sleep in seconds.
TOG Guide
Not sure which TOG to pick? Here's a simple guide tailored for Singapore's climate.
Little ones sleep safest on their backs
Always place your baby on their back to sleep for the first year. Keep the crib free of loose blankets, bumpers, and pillows - wearable blankets are recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as a safe alternative to loose blankets in a crib.
The Elly Sleeping Bag is designed with safe sleep in mind - so you can rest easy too. 🤍
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the Elly Sleeping Bag.
Are sleeping bags safe for babies?
Yes! Unlike loose blankets that can cover baby's face, a sleeping bag stays securely on throughout the night. It is the wearable blanket recommended by the AAP for safer infant sleep.
When should I transition from swaddle to sleeping bag?
Transition once your baby shows signs of rolling - it could be as early as 3 months. The sleeping bag allows free movement of arms and legs while keeping baby warm.
How do I use a baby sleeping bag?
Dress baby in pyjamas first, then slide them in feet-first and zip from the bottom up. Fold the zipper guard over to protect skin. For nappy changes, unzip from the bottom only; no need to fully remove the bag.
What TOG do I need for Singapore?
Choose 0.5 TOG for non-air-conditioned rooms (23–26°C) or 1.0 TOG for air-conditioned rooms (21–23°C). Feel the back of baby's neck - warm but not sweaty means they're comfortable.
Will it overheat my baby?
The sleeveless cut is specifically designed to prevent overheating. Free arms allow the body to naturally regulate temperature. The breathable cotton-spandex outer also promotes airflow.
How long will my baby fit in it?
Designed with extra length so baby grows into it, you won't need to size up as quickly. As long as baby can stand flat-footed inside the bag, it still fits!
